How to think about the iPad

Comparisons of iPad to iPhone and laptops are inevitable (because that's what we know), but miss the point. The iPad anticipates a different way of relating to each other.
Profound changes in our culture have been unleashed by/through the Internet (social media gives us a glimpse of the future). The shift will only accelerate as social structures adapt to a hyper-connected world. In a decade or so, we will look back and view the App Store as a significant nexus of human creativity. Along with with the countless app stores that will inevitably proliferate, it will help move us to a greater awareness of our collective consciousness and increase our capacity to resolve the many, complex problems currently facing our planet.
What do you think?
Gary
