Horizon Report: 2009 K-12 Edition
Produced by the New Media Consortium (NMC).This marks the first time that NMC's New Horizons project has turned its attention to emerging technology use in elementary and secondary education (they usually focus on higher education).
The Horizon Report: 2009 K-12 Edition, sponsored by Microsoft and developed in consultation with an internationally renowned Advisory Board, identified emerging technologies based on their time-to-adoption horizon – one year or less, two to three years and four to five years. Emerging technologies detailed in the report include:
